The hotel's location offers excellent opportunities both for the treatment of rheumatic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, nervous system and circulatory system conditions (the distance to the largest mineral water pump room “Wojciech” is 600 m), as well as for tourism (the building is situated at the edge of vast forest areas).
Today, the advantages of this place are still widely appreciated – both for health treatments and tourism. A well-developed network of cycling routes, hiking trails, and ski trails has been created. A short distance from Hotel Trojan (800 m) is the friendly Lądek-Zdrój Ski Station, featuring an illuminated slope for evening skiing, a ski rental, and a ski-service station.
Just a few kilometers from Lądek-Zdrój lies one of the best ski resorts in Poland – Czarna Góra, equipped with modern ski lifts and a professional artificial snowmaking system.
Lądek-Zdrój enjoyed its greatest prosperity at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Unfortunately, wartime turmoil and the period after 1945 caused once vibrant facilities to deteriorate and decline. The last decade, however, shows the willingness of residents and local authorities to once again make use of the region’s natural advantages. Tourism centered around a healthy lifestyle is being revived.
Hotel “Trojan” was built only in the 1970s, so it is not a historic building. Nevertheless, it has become a permanent and recognizable part of the Lądek-Zdrój landscape.
